Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop strategic innovation frameworks integrating AI, biotech, quantum computing, and sustainable systems
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and validate future-facing concepts
- Present foresight insights to C-suite executives and board members for strategic decision-making
- Build and manage an innovation ecosystem including startups, academic partners, and industry leaders
- Develop patent strategies and intellectual property roadmaps for emerging domains
- Create scenario-planning models for geopolitical, economic, and technological disruptions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum, biotech, AI, AR/VR)
- Proven track record of launching successful future-facing products or services
- Advanced degree in Technology, Business, Futures Studies, or related field
- Strong proficiency in foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, Scenario Planning)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in innovation or technology journals
- Experience with agile innovation frameworks and rapid prototyping methodologies
