Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive server maintenance, patching, and security updates on weekends.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot critical issues, and implement disaster recovery procedures.
- Manage virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Ensure data integrity and execute scheduled backups to offsite storage.
- Collaborate with the NOC team during peak times to resolve escalations.
- Document all maintenance activities and system changes in the IT ticketing system.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with scripting (Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools.
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewall configuration.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during the weekend shift.
- Current CompTIA Security+ or higher certification preferred.
