Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures including vital sign measurement and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians with clinical examinations and minor medical procedures
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterile environments and proper equipment sterilization
- Process laboratory specimens and perform basic diagnostic tests
- Manage patient records using EHR systems with strict HIPAA compliance
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) from accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced weekend environment
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional patient communication skills
- Flexibility to work Saturday/Sunday shifts (6 AM - 6 PM) with occasional holiday coverage
