Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital monitoring, medication administration, and wound care
- Document patient records accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Educate patients and families on care procedures
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active NYS Nursing License or EMT/Paramedic certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care setting
- BLS/CPR certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Ability to work independently and make clinical judgments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work varied weekend shifts (Sat/Sun)
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
- Valid NYS driver's license (if transport required)
