Responsibilities
- Monitor server infrastructure and application performance during off-peak hours to ensure 24/7 system uptime.
- Triage, diagnose, and resolve complex technical incidents and tickets escalated during the night shift.
- Perform routine system maintenance, patching, and backups to prevent downtime.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and system changes in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team via instant messaging or handover reports to ensure seamless operations.
- Adhere to strict security protocols and compliance standards (SOC2, HIPAA, etc.) during all operational activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring issues to implement long-term solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical support, system administration, or IT operations role.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully on a rotating night shift schedule.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and remote monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document technical findings clearly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night hours.
