Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the technical roadmap for the 2026 Horizon Initiative, aligning engineering goals with long-term business objectives.
- System Architecture: Design scalable, high-performance distributed systems capable of handling massive data loads and complex AI computations.
- Tech Stack Innovation: Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., Quantum-ready algorithms, Edge AI) into our core infrastructure.
- Team Mentorship: Foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence by mentoring senior engineers and conducting technical reviews.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, data scientists, and designers to translate abstract concepts into robust, deployable code.
- Code Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, and rigorous testing protocols to ensure system reliability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or architect role.
- Core Skills: Deep expertise in Python, Go, or Rust, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- AI & ML Knowledge: Strong understanding of machine learning pipelines, neural networks, and big data processing frameworks.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex, ambiguous technical challenges with elegant solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Must be willing to work from our San Francisco, CA headquarters.
