Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies, geopolitical shifts, and cultural trends to identify disruptive opportunities through 2026
- Develop strategic foresight frameworks and scenario-planning models for enterprise decision-making
- Lead innovation sprints to prototype future-facing solutions with R&D and engineering teams
- Present visionary insights to executive stakeholders through compelling narratives and data visualizations
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions, think tanks, and industry disruptors
- Curate and maintain Horizon Labs' proprietary trend intelligence database
- Mentor junior futurists and innovation specialists
Qualifications
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused R&D
- Proven track record of translating trend analysis into commercial strategies
- Expertise in scenario planning, horizon scanning, and systemic thinking methodologies
- Strong background in at least two of these domains: AI/ML, biotechnology, quantum computing, or climate tech
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, Business Strategy, or related field
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-strategy implementations
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
