Job Description
Apex Innovations is currently seeking a results-driven Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Detroit, MI. We are looking for an expert who can bridge the gap between development and operations, optimizing our cloud infrastructure and deployment processes. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential for extension.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for automating our workflows, ensuring system reliability, and implementing best practices for cloud security and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning.
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot complex issues across on-premise and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with software development teams to define release strategies and containerization standards (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Enforce security best practices and compliance standards within the CI/CD environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Extensive experience with containerization platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deep knowledge of IaC tools, specifically Terraform.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or SaltStack.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
