We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Contract Software Engineer to join our rapidly expanding technology team in San Antonio, TX. This is an immediate hire opportunity for a contract duration of 6 months with a strong potential for extension.
As a pivotal member of our engineering division, you will be responsible for architecting scalable solutions, leading code reviews, and delivering high-quality software that meets the rigorous demands of our enterprise clients. Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain robust, scalable web applications using modern frameworks and best practices.
- Lead the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and microservices to support high-volume traffic.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and UI/UX designers to translate complex requirements into technical specifications.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, perform unit testing, and ensure adherence to coding standards and security protocols.
- Optimize application performance, reduce latency, and troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, specifically in web technologies.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), React.js, and Node.js.
- Strong experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including deployment and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a contract role.
