In this high-impact contract role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-grade cloud architectures for critical federal modernization projects. Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the deployment of scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
- Lead the migration strategy for legacy on-premise systems to modern cloud environments.
- Ensure all architectural designs adhere to strict government security compliance standards (FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Provide technical mentorship and code reviews to junior engineers and developers.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and solution architectures.
- Optimize cloud costs and improve system performance through continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks in project execution.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or software development.
- Expert proficiency in AWS and/or Azure services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC).
- Strong hands-on experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Deep knowledge of networking, security protocols, and data encryption standards.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
