Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI specialists to create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in government grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD interns in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion traps
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters (HPC)
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
