Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubits
- Develop error mitigation frameworks for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals/conferences (Nature, IEEE, etc.)
- Secure $1M+ in quantum computing grants from DARPA/NSF
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and decoherence
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallelization
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
