Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit systems in cryogenic environments
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum applications
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals
- Secure $1M+ in government/industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum mechanics
- Translate theoretical models into scalable hardware solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Proficiency in low-temperature system engineering
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Expertise in superconducting or photonic qubit architectures
- Strong track record of translating theory into working prototypes
