Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at top-tier conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical applications
- Secure $2M+ in research grants and partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-disciplinary innovation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Proven track record of publications in Nature/Science/IEEE journals
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to translate research into commercial applications
