Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype and validate quantum processor designs
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum supremacy demonstrations
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and compiler design
- Strong background in quantum information theory and entanglement protocols
- Proven ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum computing platforms
