Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quantum research into commercial products
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum software development
- Secure federal and private research grants for advanced quantum computing projects
- Develop quantum simulation tools to accelerate drug discovery and materials science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological quantum computing
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Ability to communicate complex quantum concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
