Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures and error correction protocols
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects with semiconductor and AI partners
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure federal/state research grants
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing standards
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into practical quantum solutions
- Stay ahead of emerging quantum threats and cryptographic paradigms
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
