Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world commercial applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Lead research on quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop proprietary quantum software frameworks using Python and Q#
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure competitive research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complex analysis
- Expertise in at least one quantum computing platform (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing systems
