Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error-corrected qubit architectures
- Lead research projects funded by DARPA and NSF on topological quantum computing
- Develop simulation frameworks for quantum machine learning applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD interns from Caltech and Stanford's quantum programs
- Contribute to patent portfolios for quantum-resistant encryption methods
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum error correction protocols (surface codes, LDPC)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Ability to secure government research clearances (US citizenship required)
