Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with major cloud platforms (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Publish high-impact research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Present breakthrough findings at premier conferences like QIP and IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with demonstrated algorithm implementation
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum hardware interfaces (IBM Quantum Experience, Rigetti Forest)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
