Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability
- Collaborate on quantum hardware architecture improvements
- Lead cross-functional research projects in partnership with MIT and Stanford
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at quantum computing conferences
- mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and linear algebra
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding ($500k+ preferred)
- US citizenship required for federal project clearance
