Responsibilities
- Architect quantum algorithms achieving 1000x computational speedup over classical systems by 2026
- Lead development of error-corrected quantum processors with 99.9% fidelity
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum supremacy research
- Publish 3+ Nature/Science papers on quantum cryptography applications
- Design fault-tolerant quantum networks enabling global quantum internet
- Mentor 15+ researchers across physics, materials science, and AI integration teams
- Establish industry partnerships with AWS, IBM, and NASA for quantum cloud deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years R&D experience
- Proven track record of publishing top-tier quantum computing research (h-index >20)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing $1M+ in government research grants
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated leadership managing cross-disciplinary technical teams
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and post-quantum cryptographic protocols
