What You'll Achieve:
Lead a team of 15 quantum physicists and engineers to develop error-corrected qubits. Publish in Nature Physics. Shape our 2026 commercialization roadmap. Present findings to DARPA and NASA stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm research for 2026-scale computing challenges
- Oversee development of fault-tolerant quantum processors in cryogenic environments
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from NSF, DOE, and industry partners
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum cryptography and AI integration
- Author patents and peer-reviewed publications in top quantum journals
- Advise C-suite on quantum adoption timelines and ROI strategies
- Maintain compliance with NIST quantum security standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing research with industry publications
- Expertise in superconducting qubits, quantum error correction, or topological quantum computing
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience managing R&D teams in high-tech environments
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy milestones for 2026
