Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional quantum algorithm development teams
- Design fault-tolerant quantum circuits for enterprise applications
- Partner with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for real-world deployment
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
- Drive patent portfolio expansion in quantum cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years in quantum computing research (industry/academia)
- Published work in Nature/Science on quantum error correction
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum SDKs
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubits
- Track record of translating research to commercial products
- Strong background in quantum machine learning
- Security clearance preferred for government projects
