Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Design and supervise implementation of quantum error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Develop 2026 quantum computing roadmap aligned with industry disruption goals
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum principles and implementation
- Secure federal and private research grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of quantum algorithm implementation on real quantum hardware
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science/IEEE journals
- Experience managing quantum research teams and $5M+ budgets
- Familiarity with quantum cloud platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Knowledge of NISQ-era limitations and 2026 quantum advantage milestones
