Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning applications
- Lead research initiatives in quantum neural networks and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Develop scalable AI frameworks for quantum advantage in real-world scenarios
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation projects
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Computer Science, or Physics (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep expertise in machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and quantum machine learning
- Publication record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.) or conferences
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
