Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs and pain points.
- Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and developers to ensure design feasibility and technical accuracy.
- Develop and maintain a consistent visual design language and component library.
- Conduct accessibility audits to ensure our products are inclusive for all users.
- Present design concepts and iterations to stakeholders with a clear rationale.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, preferably in a contract or freelance capacity.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and design systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to non-designers.
- San Diego based or willing to commute to our office in Downtown San Diego.
- Portfolio demonstrating a range of web and mobile design projects.
