Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for emerging technologies (quantum computing, biotech integration, AI ethics frameworks)
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 business objectives and market disruption forecasts
- Facilitate cross-functional innovation workshops to identify breakthrough opportunities
- Present future scenarios and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academic researchers, and industry pioneers
- Author thought leadership publications on technology's societal impact and business transformation
- Oversee pilot programs for emerging technologies with 5-year commercialization potential
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, R&D, or futurism roles at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial innovation and market advantage
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional data visualization and scenario modeling capabilities using tools like Tableau or Python
- PhD in Technology Forecasting, Systems Thinking, or related field preferred
- Published author in futurism or technology strategy (Harvard Business Review, MIT Tech Review)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/FS) or similar credential
- Experience leading cross-functional teams across global markets and cultural contexts
