Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum AI, synthetic biology, metaverse ecosystems) and assess their commercial viability for 2026 market entry
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for board-level decision-making under uncertainty
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Task Forces' to prototype disruptive solutions in our innovation lab
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and DARPA for trend intelligence
- Author quarterly 'Horizon Briefings' for executive stakeholders with data-driven foresight
- Mentor a team of innovation analysts using futures thinking methodologies
- Represent the company at global futurist conferences (e.g., World Future Society Summit)
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 exposure
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent technical field (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership on AI governance, climate tech, or next-gen human-computer interfaces
- Proficiency in horizon scanning tools (e.g., Delphi Method, STEEP analysis)
- Experience securing $1M+ innovation budgets from executive stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating at least 3 commercialized future-focused initiatives
- Security clearance eligibility for federal partnership projects
