Responsibilities
- Analyze global technology trends and geopolitical shifts to forecast 2026 market landscapes
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for quantum computing adoption and climate resilience
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align executive teams on future-proof business models
- Produce annual 'Horizon 2026' strategic report with actionable recommendations
- Partner with R&D to prototype next-gen solutions in our Austin Innovation Lab
- Represent the company at global futurist forums and policy summits
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Strategy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or tech R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AI ethics
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futures or innovation publications
- Certification in Futures Research (e.g., WFS, APF) or equivalent
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ major future-shaping projects
