Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across AI, biotech, quantum computing, and climate tech to identify disruptive opportunities
- Develop and publish annual 'Future State' reports with strategic recommendations for executive leadership
- Design and facilitate innovation workshops with Fortune 500 partners to co-create 2026+ product roadmaps
- Manage a $5M innovation portfolio, allocating resources to high-impact moonshot projects
- Build and lead a global network of futurists, academic partners, and industry disruptors
- Translate complex future scenarios into actionable business strategies and product development pipelines
- Represent the company at global tech conferences and thought leadership forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of launching products/services based on future trend analysis (3+ examples)
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies: generative AI, synthetic biology, AR/VR, or decentralized systems
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD/MSc preferred)
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., Shell GameChanger, WFS certification)
- Exceptional storytelling ability with executive-level presentation experience
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills with data-driven decision making
- Experience managing distributed innovation teams across 3+ time zones
