Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year strategic foresight frameworks using trend analysis, scenario planning, and predictive modeling
- Design and facilitate executive workshops on emerging technologies (quantum computing, neurotech, synthetic biology)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping future-ready solutions and business models
- Author whitepapers and thought leadership pieces for industry conferences and publications
- Establish ethical innovation governance protocols for AI/automation adoption
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with research institutions and innovation hubs
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate an organization-wide culture of anticipatory thinking
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 7 years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology R&D
- Proven expertise in scenario planning methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum computing)
- Exceptional communication skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy
- Experience with foresight tools (Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method, System Dynamics)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-strategy implementations
