Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps for 2026+ initiatives, integrating AI, IoT, and quantum computing
- Lead R&D teams in prototyping breakthrough solutions with 3+ year implementation horizons
- Collaborate with C-suite to align tech strategy with business objectives and market trends
- Establish ethical frameworks for emerging technologies including generative AI and biotech
- Drive partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators for innovation scouting
- Present strategic visions to investors, board members, and industry conferences
- Mentor senior engineers in future-proofing architectures and scalable systems
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in future-tech forecasting
- Proven track record leading complex R&D initiatives with multi-million dollar budgets
- Expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or sustainable tech ecosystems
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies
- Published research in IEEE Nature or similar tier-1 publications
- Experience with regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies (FDA, FCC, etc.)
- Exceptional strategic communication skills with executive stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating at least three commercialized future-tech innovations
