Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives bridging emerging tech with commercial applications
- Develop patent portfolios and IP strategies for next-gen innovations
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to prototype 2026-viable solutions
- Present strategic frameworks to C-suite executives and government advisory boards
- Manage $2M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Mentor junior researchers in future technology methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in developing commercialized emerging tech products
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, generative AI, synthetic biology
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Experience with technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Strong network within DARPA, NSF, or similar innovation ecosystems
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
