Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 5-year technology strategy aligned with market trends and organizational goals
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to integrate emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech) into core business processes
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and assess their commercial viability
- Forge strategic partnerships with research institutions and technology pioneers
- Present technology roadmaps and innovation proposals to C-suite executives and investors
- Mentor a team of innovation specialists and establish best practices for future-tech adoption
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy for emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy or innovation leadership with proven impact on future-tech initiatives
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (quantum computing, AI, AR/VR, biotech)
- Track record of successfully launching technology products with $50M+ market impact
- Credibility with technology investors and ability to secure $10M+ in innovation funding
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience building and scaling innovation labs in Fortune 500 environments
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in scenario planning and technology forecasting
