- Conduct horizon scanning for paradigm-shifting technologies (AGI, biocomputing, etc.)
- Present strategic recommendations to investors and industry partners
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with measurable ROI milestones
- Build and mentor a team of futurist researchers and technologists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in emerging tech commercialization (AI/blockchain/metaverse)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
- Published research in IEEE or Nature on future technologies
- Expertise in futures methodology and scenario planning
- Strong network with DARPA, NASA, or global innovation labs
- Experience scaling tech ventures from prototype to market
- Security clearance preferred for government partnerships
