Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) for commercial viability and strategic alignment
- Develop comprehensive 2026 technology roadmaps with phased implementation plans
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify opportunities for technological innovation
- Conduct competitive intelligence analysis to identify market gaps and differentiation opportunities
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership with data-driven insights
- Monitor regulatory landscapes and ethical implications of emerging technologies
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and tech startups for R&D collaboration
- Maintain a technology radar system to track innovation cycles and adoption curves
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation consulting
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, blockchain, AR/VR, etc.)
- Proven track record of implementing successful technology transformation initiatives
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical information
- Strong business acumen with experience aligning technology with commercial objectives
- Certified in technology foresight methodologies (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method)
- Published thought leadership in technology innovation or future studies
