Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 2026+ market potential
- Develop strategic roadmaps for R&D investments in quantum computing and synthetic biology
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-ready technologies into commercial pipelines
- Establish ethical frameworks for next-gen AI systems and biotech applications
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-driven project prioritization
- Build external partnerships with academic institutions and government labs
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or related field
- Proven track record of launching 3+ breakthrough technologies
- Expertise in quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neuromorphic systems
- Experience developing ethical AI governance frameworks
- Strong network within DARPA, NSF, or similar innovation ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in Nature, MIT Tech Review, or equivalent
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences
