Responsibilities
- Architect the Future: Lead the design and implementation of core AI frameworks aimed at the 2026 technology landscape, focusing on safety and alignment.
- Strategic Vision: Develop long-term strategic roadmaps for AI evolution, anticipating regulatory changes and societal impacts.
- Ethical Integration: Embed ethical guidelines and value alignment into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- R&D Leadership: Conduct advanced research in machine learning, causal inference, and interpretability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, legal, and policy teams to ensure holistic technological advancement.
- Team Mentorship: Cultivate a high-performance culture, mentoring engineers and researchers in cutting-edge methodologies.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs degree or PhD in Computer Science, Philosophy, Cognitive Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, or AI research, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar deep learning frameworks.
- AI Alignment: Strong theoretical understanding of AI alignment problems, corrigibility, and value learning.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, high-uncertainty environment typical of future-tech startups.
