Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person assistance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, printers, and mobile devices.
- Manage and update IT asset inventories and documentation systems.
- Collaborate with the Senior IT team to implement security patches and software updates.
- Monitor network performance and respond promptly to system alerts.
- Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires to ensure they are set up for success.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer architecture, networking concepts, and operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
- Current enrollment in an IT certification program (CompTIA A+, Network+) is a plus.
- Flexibility to travel to different office locations within the Chicago metro area.
