Role Overview:
As a Night Shift Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be the first line of defense against cyber threats. You will leverage your expertise to identify vulnerabilities, investigate anomalies, and ensure the integrity of our client's infrastructure during off-peak hours.

Responsibilities

  • Threat Monitoring: Continuously monitor SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) for security alerts, logs, and anomalous activity patterns.
  • Incident Response: Conduct triage and initial investigation of security incidents to contain threats and minimize impact.
  • Log Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of network traffic, firewall logs, and endpoint data to identify malicious actors.
  • Alert Validation: Differentiate between false positives and genuine security threats, escalating critical issues to the Tier 2 team.
  • Reporting: Generate daily and weekly security status reports and metrics for management review.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date incident reports, playbooks, and configuration documentation.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT Security, SOC, or Network Operations, preferably in a 24/7 environment.
  • Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common attack vectors (Phishing, Ransomware, APTs).
  • Tools: Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, Elastic, or Microsoft Sentinel) and packet analyzers (Wireshark).
