Responsibilities
- Execute Comprehensive Regression Testing: Design and run regression test suites for weekend deployments to ensure existing functionality remains intact.
- Bug Identification & Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA, providing clear reproduction steps and severity levels.
- Smoke Testing: Perform pre-release smoke testing on new feature deployments to verify system stability before full rollout.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the QA Lead and Development team to resolve critical issues identified over the weekend.
- Test Reporting: Generate detailed test status reports and analyze defect trends to provide insights into system health.
- Documentation: Maintain and update test plans and test cases to reflect current application states.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Software Testing.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in manual testing methodologies and bug tracking tools (JIRA preferred).
- Automation: Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress is a plus.
- Schedule: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a contract basis.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively report technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
