We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Software Developer to join our weekend operations team in San Diego. Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Perform routine server maintenance, security updates, and database backups on weekends to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Code Deployment: Execute software deployments and rollbacks efficiently with minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues reported by QA and end-users during the weekend window.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs and technical documentation for all weekend operations and patches.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with the Monday-Friday team to ensure continuity and clear handoffs.
- Testing: Conduct rigorous unit and integration testing for new features before they go live.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience in a relevant field.
- Availability: Must be available to work a minimum of 24 hours per weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday).
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in JavaScript, React, Node.js, or Python. SQL knowledge is required.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Contract Experience: Proven history of successfully delivering projects on contract terms.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and debug code independently in a fast-paced environment.
