Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary R&D initiatives for next-gen AI systems with 2026 deployment targets
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, NeurIPS)
- Develop ethical AI governance frameworks for autonomous decision-making systems
- Collaborate with quantum computing teams to hybridize classical and quantum algorithms
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA, NSF, and industry partners
- Mentor PhD fellows and patent at least 3 novel AI methodologies annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or Quantum Physics (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years developing production AI systems with measurable business impact
- Published record in top-tier AI/ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR)
- Expertise in transformer architectures, reinforcement learning, and quantum algorithms
- Strong background in AI ethics and responsible AI frameworks
- Proven ability to secure government and corporate research funding
- Proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
