Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the 2026 innovation strategy, aligning with long-term business objectives and market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling next-gen technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech convergence)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging trends and disruptive forces affecting our industry through 2030
- Drive strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and global innovation hubs
- Present innovation roadmaps to stakeholders with compelling data visualizations and ROI projections
- Mentor a team of futurists and innovation specialists through agile development cycles
- Secure and manage R&D budgets exceeding $5M annually for high-impact initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, product development, or futurist roles with proven impact on 5+ year roadmaps
- Advanced degree in Technology Strategy, Business Innovation, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies (AI/ML, blockchain, quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Track record of launching disruptive products/services with $10M+ revenue impact
- Certification in futures thinking (e.g., CFIP) or scenario planning methodologies
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across global executive teams
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ major innovation initiatives successfully commercialized
- Fluency in strategic forecasting tools and market simulation platforms
