- Design fault-tolerant quantum processor architectures targeting 2026 scalability milestones
- Develop quantum error correction frameworks for 1000+ qubit systems
- Create hybrid quantum-classical integration blueprints for enterprise applications
- Lead quantum-resistant cryptographic protocol implementations
- Establish performance benchmarks for quantum supremacy applications
- Collaborate with materials science teams to optimize quantum hardware interfaces
- Author whitepapers on quantum computing roadmaps for industry standards bodies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 10+ years experience considered)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum architectures
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
- Track record of delivering quantum computing proofs-of-concept
- Security clearance preferred for DoE/NASA projects
